6 Tips for Thriving in a Network Marketing Business

Whether you’re already established in your network marketing business or if you just started, it’s important to constantly be growing! Nonetheless, there were countless things we wished we would’ve known sooner when we were first starting out. Maybe it would’ve helped with the imposter syndrome, self-doubt, and the fear of rejection we experienced. You may be asking yourself some of the same questions we asked ourselves:

How am I going to build this business while being a mom?

I am drowning in my to-do list, what do I do?

No one is buying, should I just give up?

What if everyone sees me fail?

Despite the struggles, there were also a few things that we crushed in the beginning of our network marketing businesses. Today, we are sharing six tips that will help you thrive in your network marketing business.

Ask the Person You Don’t Want to Ask

Our first network marketing tip is to ask the person you don’t want to ask! It is better to get a “no” than to limit yourself and wonder what the outcome could have been. When you truly believe that what you’re selling is going to benefit people, it will be easier to ask people who you may feel slightly uncomfortable asking. There may be people who you feel embarrassed to pitch your product to. You may wonder if they will judge you or find your message off. But start reframing your mindset from “I need to sell them this” to “This product that I have to offer will really bring value to their life”. The difference in mindset will make all the difference in your network marketing business!

Start Before You Feel Ready

Next, you may feel the need to have all your ducks in a row before really launching your network marketing business. The biggest truth to remember is that it doesn’t matter how much you prepare, you will always be growing and learning! No matter how long you’ve been in the network marketing industry, you will constantly be pivoting and learning. Therefore, don’t wait to start! Start now while you don’t feel 100% ready.

When you analyze everything and need everything to be perfect, you end up not doing anything. You just have to get started and figure it out along the way!

It is better to take imperfect action than perfect inaction!

Don’t Work 24/7

Next, it is important that you do not push yourself to work 24/7. While we do commend your drive and determination, working 24/7 leads to burnout and a lack of creativity. When you’re constantly burnt out, you aren’t going to perform well. You aren’t able to think strategically or creatively and inevitable, you end up hurting your business. In addition, working 24/7 can lead to resentment for your business. Therefore, start creating office hours. Start using the “Chic Your Time Blocker”, and block off the time in your day to complete business activities. When it isn’t business hours, be sure to not be consumed with your email or social media platform.

Next, we suggest working from a checklist. Business owners who work 24/7 tend to not have a strategic plan in place. It can be easy to work 24/7 when you don’t have a list to work from. This can lead to distractions and not accomplishing income producing activities in your business!

Success takes time! You’re going to feel like you need to do everything, but it is so important to set aside time that you refuse to work. Set the boundaries for your network marketing business because in the end, it will pay off!

Invest in Your Business

Our next tip is to truly invest in your network marketing business! You may not be producing a ton of income in the beginning. Despite this, it is crucial to invest in your network marketing business. Investing in your business only allows it to drastically grow!

We encourage you to find a coach or mentor who’s accomplished what you want to accomplish. A coach or a mentor can actually help you achieve your goals faster because they breathe strategy and processes into your business. Consider investing in things that will actually save you money and time. These types of investments end up making you more money in the long haul. Examples of great early investments would be courses, leadership retreats, 1:1 mentor, group communities, mentorship programs, etc.

Celebrate The Small Things

When you’re in network marketing it is so crucial to celebrate the small things! We encourage you to take your big, long term goals and break them down into smaller ones. When you are working towards smaller goals, they seem more attainable. Therefore, you’ll have more motivation to keep going when things appear difficult.

If you are only happy and content in your business when you’re achieving large goals, that happiness will never be fully satisfied. There will always be another goal to reach. You have to shift your mindset and fall in love with the process of building your business. Don’t fall in love with the end results. The end results are fleeting!

When you get so focused on the process of growing your business, you’ll experience a lot more excitement and fun in your network marketing business! Therefore, celebrate the fact that you sent the invitation. Celebrate the fact you made the post. When you appreciate the process and who are becoming, that brings a lot of joy to what you are doing. When you don’t enjoy the process, you won’t appreciate the product.

Treat the Business Like a Business

Last, when you treat your network marketing business like a hobby, you’ll never experience the results you’re truly looking for. You MUST treat your business like an actual business. It isn’t a hobby that you do on the side when you have time. There is one option, and that option is success! Set aside the time to work your business. Set the appropriate boundaries. Make the checklist every day. Get serious about it!

You have to take charge of your dreams and take action daily to make it your reality. There may be a lot of things holding you back from treating your business like an actual business. You may have a full-time job or be a stay at home mom. Your time is being occupied elsewhere, so it doesn’t feel like the perfect time. However, there is always going to be something! There never will be a perfect time to take your business seriously. The time is now!
