productivity tips

Add Followers (10 Minutes)

The first task on the checklist is to add followers! In order to increase productivity here, you shouldn’t be adding random followers. There is a strategy behind this, and if you go about it without strategy then you’re potentially wasting time. When you have little time in your day, it is necessary that you’re doing everything with a purpose.

First, the goal in adding followers is to add your ideal target client. Adding random people will not yield results!

A great way to find your target audience is to find complimentary accounts to yours. You would then start engaging with those who comment on their account. Click on the commenter’s account, watch/interact with their stories, and leave genuine comments on a few of their posts. You’ll then follow them, and then save one of their photos to a “new follower” collection. When you save their photo to a collection, this is so you can go back to their account daily to interact and engage. You will continue doing this with many different accounts daily! The goal is to continue interacting and engaging every single day, allowing you to create an opportunity for a connection.

Intentionally Connect (10 Minutes)

Next, in order to increase your productivity, you should connect with intention. During this activity, you will find a complementary account and then engage with their active users. For example, if you focus on living a fit lifestyle, then you would locate another account who also values a healthy lifestyle. Their active users will also be interested in living a healthy lifestyle, so you already have something in common. Find a post on the complementary account, then start interacting and engaging with the people who are commenting on that post.

The goal is is to make virtual eye contact with potential followers/clients. In addition, you are increasing the likelihood of them being interested in what you have to offer! This leads people to checking out your account and how you serve your audience. If they find it applicable to them, then they will follow. This is why it is so important to find a complimentary account. When you engage with random people on a random account, you won’t see much conversion. Connecting intentionally means interacting with people who are your ideal target client, so it is easy to build a connection that results in conversion!

Social Media Content (20 Minutes)

Next, producing your social media content around your marketing goals is a great way to increase productivity in your day! Creating random content that does not serve your audience is a way to waste a lot of time and not produce results. When you’re creating your social media content, it is crucial to ask yourself the following questions:

“What do I want my followers to do with this content?”

“What is the purpose of posting this content?”

Your content should always be doing at least one of the following things: Persuading, Informing, Entertaining, or Sharing thoughts or feelings.

The goal when creating content is to create a “comeback kind of audience”. A “comeback kind of audience” is an audience that comes back daily to see what else you have posted because it brings so much value to them!

While it may not seem productive to keep posting about the same things, repetition is key! If you are unsure of your pillars (Thumbprint Method), please read this blog post, “Developing a Foolproof Content Marketing Strategy”. In this blog, we share how to identify your business Thumbprint so you can identify the pillars of your marketing content.

People crave consistency and routine, so once you identify your Thumbprint it is crucial to continue producing content around those key areas. In addition, if someone follows you because you made a post about your fitness routine but then you never post about it again, you aren’t serving that person well. You can’t post about it ONE time and expect people to continue to come back to your content. Therefore, continue producing content on your key content pillars to keep your audience engaged and served!

If you’re not even sure where to start with posting on social media or you’re overthinking your posts, our “Direct Sales Done Right Mentorship” is OPEN for enrollment. Social Media Stories (15 Minutes)

Next, your social media stories are a tasks that you should be doing daily in order to see results in your network marketing business. Often times, business owners don’t see the importance in social media stories or they go about them incorrectly. Social media stories are a behind the scenes of your business!

Your Facebook/Instagram stories are essential to getting to know you and building trust. Stories are also where you should be doing majority of your direct selling. People tend to view your stories before ever seeing your posts, so you will need to upload 7-10 stories a day. You want to make sure that at least 1-2 of your stories each day are a direct call to sign up or purchase what you are selling.

In order to increase productivity, you can plan out what you want to post in your stories daily. Also, you can plan out your call to actions as well.

Your stories are a place to share advice, thoughts, and feelings about your business, products, and services. This is a great place to build trust and credibility with your audience. Stories are also a great way for you to get to know your audience on a more personal level. You can share things like your morning routine, a great workout, a great book you’re reading, etc. This is a highlight into your life outside of your business!

In addition, every day you should do a straight call to action to buy a product/service! This is a MUST for network marketers!

Remember, when posting to your stories it is important to add polls, question boxes, links, and any other interaction feature FB/IG has to offer. When people engage on your stories, you’ll see an increase in your reach!

Message Those Who Engaged (10 Minutes)

Messaging the people who engaged with your content is a DAILY tasks that you should be doing as a network marketer! In order to maximize your time and increase productivity, don’t think too much in how you respond back. The key is to be genuine, but there is no need to overthink. This task should be quick and easy, with little thought!

The greatest factor is to make the people who engage with your content feel seen and heard. When people respond to a poll you’ve created, answer a question, or engage with content that isn’t directly connected to what you sell or offer, it’s a great time to form a connection and start a conversation!

If someone has interacted with your story/sent a DM, message them a genuine message and even leave a follow up question! When someone comments on your photo, reply back with a genuine comment and strike up a conversation. Often times, we forget that social media is a social platform. While strategy is important, approach comments and engaging how you would if you were genuinely trying to become friends with someone. Don’t overthink it!

Message Potentials (10 Minutes)

Next, this daily task is specific to the people who interacted with a particular story or post that was about a product/service that you offer. This message is more strategic than the ones above. Go back through your interactions from stories and posts, and send follow up messages to those who engaged. Here is a great example message,

Thank you so much for voting on my poll about my support group. Tell me a little bit about your health/fitness goals? What interests you in this support group? I am happy to give you some more details.”

When you send messages like the one above, you are making yourself available. You also are setting yourself up as the expert who is ready to serve their audience!

Here is a great example message to send to the people who interact with a post about a product/service:

“Thank you so much for liking my post about my upcoming support group. Did you just like the post or were you interested in having me send you some more information? I look forward to hearing back from you.

When you send this type of message, you are allowing them an opportunity to opt-in to what you have to offer.

You may find that some people want more information and are ready to have those conversations with you. Other times, you may get ghosted or turned down. That is okay!! Persistence is key! If anything, you are letting those people know you are available and ready to help them in any way!

Follow Up (10 Minutes)

When you’re attempting to maximize your time and increase your productivity, you may be tempted to not complete all of the listed activities. However, following up with potential clients is one of the most important tasks to do every single day in order to see conversions. Most sales are made after multiple follow up conversations! Every month, you should keep a list of potential clients that you are wanting to follow up with.

It is also important to note that after having the first initial conversation, you should ask the prospect if it would be okay to follow up with them in a few weeks or a month.

The larger your follow up list becomes the greater potential for conversion!

Customer Service (10 Minutes)

This time should be spent answering any customer service questions or issues. You may not be receiving customer service request early in your business. If not, use this time on any of the activities above!

If you are farther along in your business, you may have customers messaging you for recommendations on your products. In addition, you may have customers who are unsatisfied with a product/experience. This is your time to assist your already existing customers!

30-Minute Buffer

Last, we created a 30-minute buffer in the two-hour work day that allows you to go back to certain tasks that need more attention. If you felt rushed through any of the activities, this is a great time to go back and adequately complete that task.

This is also the perfect time to plan out your next day, create more content, send more follow-ups, design the graphic, engage more, etc. However, it should be used on one of the above listed tasks! Remember, any extra time you have should be used to continue moving the needle in your business. In order to increase productivity and maximize your time, every single activity you do during your two hour work day should be an incoming producing activity!
