As someone who is building their business on social media, it can be extremely difficult to disconnect from your phone when you are taking a vacation.
As a driven entrepreneur who wears all the hats, you already have a work work work mindset – vacation or not – it’s just who you are!

Friend, you need time to unwind and most importantly, unplug, so you can come back to work refreshed and re-inspired — even if you just take a “staycation”.
But guess what? With the right planning and preparation in place, you in fact put your phone away and take time for yourself! It’s all about becoming a #HEALTHYCEO.
Today we are sharing with you 4 simple tips that will help you relax and unwind both before and during your vacation!
Create and Schedule Your Content in Advance
This is something you may want to consider even when you are NOT on vacation!
There are many services that allow you to schedule content WEEKS in advance! If you are utilizing your #MakeChicHappenPlanner, you already know to plan your content out a week or two in advance!
Sitting down to create and schedule all your content in one swoop will allow for consistent, strategic planning. #HealthyCEO
Choose a Point of Contact Person
This one can be tough to do – especially if you are someone who is running your business alone.
If you are a a solo-preneur, it’s a good idea to have a point of contact available to monitor social channels as needed. Identifying someone who can help ensure things keep running smoothly and it can give you a little peace of mind! #HealthyCEO
TIP: Talk to a friend or someone on your team that can check in for you! It’s important to also keep an ‘emergency’ sheet with your log-in information as well as some generic scripts they can use when communicating with your audience.
Unplug and Delete Social or Work-related Apps
As a business owner, this may be the most challenging yet most rewarding tip!
Listen we get it — this is a tough one, but it works wonders for your mental health.
As social media gurus, we are telling you that it is OK to delete all social media and/or work-related apps from your phone!
This will help with any temptation for scrolling and unconsciously checking-in.
If you really feel the need to check in, you can allow yourself to 30 minutes in the AM and 30 minutes in the PM to just hop on, button up any loose ends and PUT IT AWAY!

Tell Your Followers You’ll Be Back!
For safety reasons, you may not want to say WHEN and WHERE you are going BUT you can 100% tell them that you are taking some much needed time away from social media!
This is VERY normal and also shows your audience that you do in fact have a life outside of sharing your products and services!
Friends, remember, you work HARD all year long. You have early mornings and late nights all while juggling your social and family life!
