Does your company offer a yearly rewards trip for the hard work that you do? Yes? Do you know how leverage these rewards trips?
One of the biggest recruiting tools and momentum builders is the trips that you get to earn! A huge perk of being in network marketing is earning incentives just for doing your job. I have learned over the past 7 ½ years in business that anytime I show the perks of my job, I highlight the community, the travel, and anything over and above the daily schedule I attract people who want to know more about what I do and eventually join my team. I highly encourage you to look at the trips as business building activities and do everything in your power to not only earn the incentive but to put on your marketing brain and maximize the opportunity to grow your team.
Any event that you have been to with your company is perfect to use to leverage and really move your business forward.
Here are some of my tried and true tips on how to leverage your next rewards trip:
1. Make it a priority to EARN the TRIP.
Make it a priority to understand how you earn and then set goals and daily activities so that you get the invite. You are earning these trips because you are doing your job & you are showing people what is possible. This makes me think back to when I signed up for the company I am working with now. I sat back watching others go on rewards trips. I asked myself “How cool would it be to get to go on these same trips just for doing my job?”
Right then and there, I knew that I needed to put in the time and effort into my business to achieve the next years rewards trip. It was enticing to know that if I worked and helped people every month that I could earn a rewards trip for our family. So, I set the goal for myself to be on the next trip and not miss out. It is not going to be easy but you must be willing to do the work to earn the trip itself.
ACTION ITEM: Find out where the next reward trip will be for your company, print out that picture and post it on your vision board to look at each day. Visualizing the trip everyday will encourage you to work harder and be sure to earn that trip.
2. Do you love to travel?
If you love to travel, seek adventure, people who are struggling that don’t have the extra money to go on a trip then this is the perfect opportunity for you. For example, not everyone has the extra money to go on a family vacation, and a rewards trip could become your next family vacation. Some couples choose to leave the kids at home and make this there own getaway for the two of them. I know for me personally this was one of the biggest motivators for me. We didn’t have the money for family vacations and I was stuck in Western PA in the dead of winter with two little ones cooped up inside. Therefore, this momma would do anything for a week in the sunshine.
3. By going on these trips you get to showcase the behind the scenes of the business.
Just recently, I made a plan before our recent rewards trip as a way to map out what I wanted to talk about on my feed through my posts from the trip. I was sure that each post had a specific call to action. The first thing I did was to create an email campaign. This specific campaign was for anyone that was interested in following along and getting to know what went on during the trip. Before the trip I shared on my Instagram stories and through an email to my current list that I was going to be away on a rewards trip. I invited them to subscribe to the “cruise edition emails” to stay up to date on our daily activities.
Each morning, I sent out a recap which was intentional in talking about specific points of the business. Included in the emails I talked about the fun excursions we got to do with our family, the parties, community, and the friendships with positive, uplifting people who really light my soul on fire and make me want to be better. One of the mornings, I was able to mastermind with my leaders since we were all together on the cruise. I talked about how amazing it is that we not only get to meet virtually each week to develop as leaders but we get to do it in person as well. In addition, I talked about what benefits I bring to my leaders for growth and training.
The following are what I shared on my feed with my followers through emails, Facebook, and Instagram posts:
- Excursions
- Parties
- Community
- Friendships
- Masterminding
4. CTA —> Who will be here with me next year?
It does not matter the industry, or network company that you work for. If there is the opportunity to go on a rewards trip and/or events that are being offered be sure to ask yourself, “What’s the opportunity that I can leverage to help build your business?” After your trip is over be sure to post an have your call to action be focused on asking who will be here next year with you. In doing so, talk about the next group that you are going to be offering…
You don’t have to do EVERYTHING that I did but please make sure you choose at least one thing to implement and be intentional about sharing daily. I notice that when we travel our views on stories and posts doubles. People are watching so this is an opportunity to lean in.
Make sure to end the week with a recap email. Also, post on social media with a very strong call to action to join your team!!!
You can also create an album on your Facebook with the name of the rewards trip. In the album description talk about how you earned it with a call to action on how they can join your team and learn more.
So choose one or multiple options:
- Send out a daily email to your list.
- Post daily updates on your stories and your Instagram Grid.
- Go live each day to give some of your moments of the trip.
- Highlight the benefits of the trips & tell people how they can earn them for next year.
